Oh yeah, you donât have a smartphone do you?
I do but i prefer to only carry a few devices at a time plus the switch is bigger
Ă just want a stationary nintendo console.
gamecube v.2
buy the switch
Maybe
your not required under any circumstances to use it in portable mode. Its just a benefit and the mode 95% of people run it in XD
Though i would highly reccomend the pro controller if your gonna leave it in docked mode. Joycons are too small even for me
Have you looked into battery replacements yet? (both the main body and the JoyCons)
Itâll likely be a few years - depending on your usage - until youâd need to do it, but stillâŚitâs good to know in advance what to expect. Like, are there even batteries available for purchase for the JoyCons?
Not hard just needs a few screws iirc
Are they gonna launch a hardware updated switch?
Not following nintendo news
Only rumors at this point. I would give it another year or so because a switch V2 that fixes some of the design flaws would be nice
Dont really follow it either though
I have a pro controller and its pretty neat. Use it when the switch is in stand mode or docked if Iâve doing multiplayer with my brother in something like Mario Kart with the added benefit that it doesnât run out of battery really fast and can charge it with usb.
Gamers Nexus did a tear down of the switch/joy cons and there super easy to take apart and service if you need to for stuff like the battires.
Howâs local 2 player multiplayer?
its pretty good has support for split screen in most games and can detect multiple controllers like some games you can just have a joycon each depending what it is and can even do multiplayer between switches over ad-hoc wifi if you have the same game which is neat.
Not really done much with it but the small controller size is everyones grip. That and the shoulder buttons are really hard to press down.
The switch has the option to sync versions so that way you dont even have to worry about being updated
Nice, GF wants something to play after we went to the arcade together
Just imagine how fun homebrew is going to be when the switch gets replaced
Thatâs just half of the work, though. Do you know how easy you can get replacement batteries?
ifixit has replacement battery for $35?
