If I remember correctly its like 5 screw max and can be done in 5 minutes, one of the things I always liked the PlayStation for is just being able to swap in a new consumer drive easily.

Just make sure to download the current firmware on a usb stick

And make sure its actually the full firmware and not just the update. I had that issue before and it wouldn’t flash.

ye naturally some downtime is unavoidable but it really up and running for the most part. longest was probably the brief period near the start and the name change recently which is pretty damn good.
just checked and my account has visited 700 days exactly on the forum so its either been offline or me not being here just 30 days XD

I finished updating to the SDD. Now I’m just downloading a few games I had on an external drive cause I ran out of space on the 500GB HD. 1TB SDD should be plenty.
