The reason why I haven’t followed is that I don’t like fragmentation. First this one became its own thing, then another one, and so on, until you’re browsing 15 forums, 20 Discord channels and 50 group texts and 100 subreddits on top of YT, Twitch, etc.

Yeah rhats pretty true. … I had a good conversation with pawmanianc… guys always stand up about stuff… I really gotta strike a balance on the nostalgia and not let it get to me…
Gotta find my own new places to chill and largely that’s what I’m doing…

Reddit as a whole is dying the same way as forums when they become more popular.
Have small, cozy forum with like-minded people.
Easy to moderate and rarely have to because everyone’s well behaved and doesn’t want to cause trouble.
Become more popular.
Start to attract trolls and other idiots. Some new members just need to get accustomed to the place’s dynamic and atmosphere.
Have to moderate a lot more.
Have to make rules and guidelines more strict.
Core members don’t like the way it’s changing.
Leave.

.the idea was that there are two types of men in this world. Those who try to earn what they want and those who take what they want… red pillers are your stereotypical men who grabbed the ladies because they knew how to play that game… blue pillers are the nice guys who white Knight around. I was a red pillers forever… shame the place got shut down … literally the message on shut down from one person was that feminism won give up

This is what i plan on trying to stop. The current users dictate the atmosphere and terms for the new users. Anyone who wants to come in and try to start shit gets tossed out with very little hesitation. Though once we get big enough i wouldnt be objected to becoming invite/submission based

Oh, I think I remember now. Didn’t it attract a lot of misogynistic guys and ended up being labelled as a hate sub on Reddit? About the same time Reddit cracked down on subs like FatPeopleHate and that one about adults who hate being parents (I think there was one instance where some woman had her kid die and she said she was actually glad cause now she’s feeling more free).

They weren’t even misogynistic guys… these were guys giving young guys advice on how to play the bad boy game the not so nice guy root… to be bold and ignore them etc… it wasn’t misogyny it was just the simple truth on how to snag the hotties in the youngie days but it got labeled this way by the feminist leadership of Reddit and basically like everything else it got falsely labelled hate and a lot of bad stuff has just crushed reddit

Until the centralized ones find a way to shut them down. Likely with the accusation of being involved in illegal activities. Or they just disappear because of a sudden change of circumstances (server, costs, personal reasons, etc.).
