wait…what? the software will make fuses burn?

yep. I mean I could if I used some of the dodgy CFWs but no way I want to risk that and get banned. Even have an 16GB xci image of my gamecart for it too.

Ye some gamecards have the updated firmware on them and will auto update and burn fuses in the SoC. In this case though the fuses it’ll burn are in the cart reader its self. I can override the disable from the CFW and allow it to work again which I might do but after that I won’t be able to use the game card reader on an older CFW if I ever decide to flash back to an older version.

So this is an issue with CFW and not the stock Nintendo Switch software?
Would suck if this was the next fuck up for Nintendo with the Switch.
Scratching your screen with the dock, joy con BT issue, joy con stick travel issue, not being able to lick the game cards,…

ye its 100% because of the CFW. It defaults on the side of caution when it comes firmware updates which is why its disabled by default encase anyone ever wants to flashback and still use it. like on my emummc which is still on 8.1.0 for example.

dunno lel least they launched when they did

if android/play store was more mature for actual games probs would have gone no where lol

i mean when gpu is comparable at best to an amd apu(like an old one) and has a arm quadcore, legitimately many even not exepnsive phones have more cpu power, gpu ye most dont, but thats not that hard to meet/match especially now that amd is licensing radeon stuff,

but dont think the market is there for that powerful phones/isnt common place to buy 60$ programs from the play store, and have it deliver 16-64+gb

edit:
basically if android, ios, windows something happens where gaming becomes normal on arm, probably will be as consoles are to pc, portable consoles are to phones(at some point)

where they launched well before that happened software side

I’m no longer going to use Reshade anymore.

Three reasons:
Reshade was and is a convenience for making quick wallpapers. I’ve always been in the camp of if I could do it better than Reshade I should.
I have the Adobe Lightroom Suite and I have a much better control on making the image looking better.
Reshade is a resource hit. It is small but you notice it.

I’m not saying no one should use it. If you do, that’s fine but as for me I’m offically retired from it.

How would i compile my kernel 2 minutes faster than?

I can average 8 minutes with 16 thread with gcc only barely taking like 45 minutes. which for gcc is saying something XD

intel is always the fastest tho

you should use their compiler too

in many cases when compiling Ryzen is just because of the increased cache size alone lol.

but muh intel made charts

still kinda torn want 3950 maybe but if dem 4way smt rumors are legit, would only make sense to me if they doubled the backend like ibm/oracle etc, meaning their next gen 8 core would be like 99% the speed of 16 core

but thems past the point of the am4 commitment i think, so idk

Only for the servers. Desktops are probably 2t per cores with TR being 3 threads and servers being full blown 4threads

iirc 4way SMT has been confirmed by AMD but only for next gen EYPC so far. though AM4 is supposed to last until 2020 but I very much doubt we’d get 4way SMT consumer chips on that socket at this point

no confirmation yet. EVERY tech person would lose their shit if it was
