is allowing the game to access memory outside the normal region allocated for those things, since they didnt put in anything to limit the number whatever, like they have number 1-151 or whatever, but it tries to access pokemon 208

Oh damn I feel like ass today lol. I remember why I don’t party, I hate feeling like this after because free drinks and especially here stupid competitions and whatnot. Woo for borderline alcohol poisoning. Oh well just need to hydrate and eventually eat.

Playing around with PCIe devices on Linux when I really shouldn’t. wanted to use my Windows VM but realised I bound my 2nd GPU to amdgpu on Linux… but it crashed my whole system when I tried to unbind it back to vfio-pci

nm. wasted all day yesterday by not doing anything but watch YT and switch between L1T, here and Reddit to see if there’s anything new every few seconds. no concentration at all. even applying all the metadata to the ROMs in Playnite took a while (not a lot to do or any complicated at all, just not able to concentrate on one thing for long). then went to sleep ~6am and woke up ~5:30pm.
today’s probably not be any different, although I have to stay up tomorrow cause I’m getting the 2nd BT dongle and 2 books delivered.
kinda wanna play some SNES/GBA games but not enough concentration for now.
emulators are usually for people that dont play them lol

Huh, that really applies to anything I own (minus the tablet. I use that probably more actively than anything).
least from what < can tell
retro pi and stuff is usually like someone gets it is all excited then the old games look bad and are hard/have weird controls they play for like 15min and it sits in the box forever after that/back of the shelf whatever

Well I mean it does kinda work but it isn’t really an expected use case to bind GPU device drivers when the system is up and running XD
