The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

exactly. You can’t get that functionality with a cross since it will just press them all at once

Has anyone used Playnite? Wanted to see if there’s a UI/library for emulators/ROMS like with Retropie that makes it look better.
First impression is good. You can basically put all your games (Steam, GoG, BattleNet, Origin, etc) and every other installed game + emulators in it. Even lets you load metadata for the games to give you more info about them. It’s not perfect as it sometimes loads the wrong cover art (like SNES for a GBA game) but still pretty good.

Can’t say I have, I’ve mostly only use Retroarch and Lakka for my emulators, though I approve of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, put soo many hours into that game.

The game gives me so much cozy comfy nostalgia. Played it so much on my GBA Advance wrapped in my blanket on the bed. But I never finished it. I got stuck at a pretty big fight. My characters weren’t strong enough but I also couldn’t go back and grind some more cause the game save put me right at the start of the fight (and the other save file I had was like 20h before that).

have any of the megamans?

ROMS yeah, cartridges no.

da rockman.exe ones?

I sadly never finished it either but fairly sure I was very close to, mostly played it on my GameCube in bed at night when I was supposed to be sleeping but instead spent hours building my team and such, though my issues especially later game where with how I chose to build the map with settlements and other regions being in places where I fucked myself not being able to travel where I wanted to as easily.

Mega Man Battle Network NT? Yup, the ROMS. Never played them though.

Yeah, that was quite a bit of a pain in the ass.

lol I actually had most of those games too, only ones I didn’t were Metriod, Rayman and Warriroland, technically didn’t have either of the GoldenSuns too as there were my brothers but still played the hell outa them XD

are pretty decent although like megaman on nes, so many of them lel with basically same thing but more, so could imagine like 1 game, then 6+ more(if you want to include multiple versions and spin offs) of same assets/engine etc

its mega meng, where you use your usb flash drive to hook up your internet avatar battle bot to your iot oven to battle a virus to put out the fire so it doesnt burn down your house

So, basically like Pokemon.

Warioland is decent. Rayman is meh. Pretty much the only GBA game I regret buying (or maybe I got it for Christmas or such cause I was asking for it but only judged it based on the pictures on the back, the slow moves are annoying af).
Now, Metroid…why not? They’re fucking amazing. Okay, Fusion is hard as hell later on. But Zero Mission is as beginner friendly as it gets for a Metroid game (I think). Controls are super tight and precise. Fusion has a much much better story.

no idea what the other version is, think maybe its the end boss is different or something

but theres 6 of them and like 2 or 3 spin offs besides like numbered 3-6 has 2 versions each

some regular jrpg issues like excessive grinding(for money/good cards for the weird card battle system thing) difficulty spikes especially if you go da wrong wae, very repetitive battling when you get into random encounters/grinding

but good graphics pretty decent like internet terrorists trying to take over the web/messing up stuff you battle them to stop them shutting down powerplant or whatever bs

Yeah, I noticed there are some with 2 editions per generation like Pokemon. I hate that shit. You basically have to get both and play both and have 2 handhelds so you can complete both Pokedex. Cause I ain’t going outside meeting people for that stuff.

I always had the advantage with the Pokemon game in that my brother always got the opposite one than I did so we were able to trade Pokemon between the games if we ever needed it.

just get yellow and spawn pokeman with the glitches in the game

or play pokeman league of legends, or my ass

Basically me too with my cousins. But we never got to around trading the pokemon the other didn’t have.
And even a few years later when I borrowed his GBA and version of Pokemon I never made it that far where I could trade all the pokemon I needed on my version.

I used to do the think where you can get “infinite” candies to level up your pokemon and the things for increasing the stats.

theres a thing where if theres a trainer out of your vision that starts a battle with you, if you fly away(or use escape rope whatever) the instant they see you, then the last pokemon you fight before you go back into that area where the trainer spotted you, will set which pokemon(or missing no etc) spawns when you back into that zone, so you can spawn mew and stuff

oh have to fight a trainer else where and then go back w.e.

https://puu.sh/257S
(is some massive map that shows which would spawn if that trainer was the last person you fought and the pokemon were defeated in order)
