Oddly the only place of actual rust was under the folding sights, despite having cosmoline. The other minor rust spots were just normal age, I cleaned those up with a brush and whatnot. But yeah the cosmoline was just layered over and over, by the Turks I’m assuming. Whoever owned the gun before me must never have shot it lol.

had hot water running into it for like 30min straight tried brushing it/insert remove blade many times etc
wanted butcher blade but saw good deal on a yugo 1924 one was like perfect before i wore the bluing off from the tension mechanism sliding it in and out lol
still pretty sweet though the dark black style

Today’s adventure; trying to shoot some more with my Mauser. Every range is full of people, and both indoor ranges I went to before this outdoor ones were full + a waiting line lol. I’ve never seen so many CA people shooting lol

Found a good outdoor range, did decent at 100yrds. Most of my misses were figuring out how the iron sights worked as far as distance goes.

since have seen couple others that are exactly the same conversion with the non mauser barrel band, actually re barreled not just re bored/chambered, shiz load of stamps on barrel/receiver

Just watched the strangeness that is star wars ep 9… I’m confused and somewhat upset, but also only watched it cuz it was free lol. Overall glaring story issues and previous star wars mechanics breaking aside not that terrible but still ranks below episode 2 for me which isn’t exactly a high bar.
Otherwise just fighting off sleep as long as I can so can stay on nights sleep schedule

I ignore 7 and 8, because for one thing they are terrible and for another you can basically skip to ep 9 and not have missed much of anything lol

When most of the “noncanon” EU books and games are better at story than supposedly AAA films, says something about the star wars thing as a whole. Though some of the tv shows are decent to good, depends which ones.
