Well fire is 3 miles away, 0% contained, and has burned 300k acres… So far. And I’m here on hard standby still. Fuck it I’ma eat dinner and chill outside, see what happens.

Was evacuated from base, now at some place called Modesto. This particular hotel I’m at happens to be right next to a Denny’s and a taco place and a couple others so that’s nice.

Went and got some tech manuals from a guy who used to work on ramblers and other cars in the 60s, was nice talking to and learning from him. He served in Vietnam and is like 88 now so has a warehouse full of random car parts. Will post the books in the rambler thread.
Otherwise just kindof chilling bored. Now that I’m evacuated there’s not much to do honestly. I’ll probably clean up and read the old books and or watch Netflix or something.
I saved my desktop and my model F, but didn’t bring any power cords or monitor so there’s that. I do have my Linux laptop I can mess with though. Also saved my humidor and cigars.
Hopefully I can eventually get back to my dorms because if I lose all that stuff I left i’d be sad but I have all my important docs and whatnot so… It’s just stuff after all.

still surprised that nothing crazy happened when they had the methane leak where they had the biggest ecological disaster thats ever happened for global warming and no one cared
mean they evacuated people from nearby town and shit, but never got lit up like big torch 
How strict are the guide lines about what you can and can’t share about the base?
I think Fitbit and such trackers are now forbidden in the military cause they provided a pretty good outline of the base when people there went for a run.
Base pictures are allowed so long as it’s not the flight line, for the most part. There are exceptions but generally allowed.
