salsa for this years canning season
i grabbed jalapenos and onions cheap bought a thing of minced garlic
bunch of matoes the farm was selling so grabbed these for about 40$ for 60lbs
the salsa should last a few years hoping for like 30 cans of salsa
im getting a pressure canner so i can can meats and soups
oh. Thought that was for all the hangings and crap. If its just for the welding then thats on the pretty high end though it would depend on how they are welding it (Stick, TIG, MIG).
Nice. I need to invest in a canning setup as it too hot to keep any food in my house. Bought a loaf of bread a few days ago and it was already covered in mold
i highly recommend getting into it saves so much money after you are set up i havent bought tomato sauce in about 2 years and its better then the canned bullshit at the store. plus mushrooms and jerkys and soups if you got a pressure canning setup
try a bread box with a bowl of salt and baking soda
its super dry here so i just keep my bread in a bag and on the shelf with the spices
Hanging is just welding lol, its just to the car not the pipes to each other.
but yeah still the whole thing installed and all $80.
though i dont know if its a cash only place… probably is idk. in any case will be nice.
yeeee canning is really fun its work and you need to know what you are doing leads to things like jalapenos jellys and pickled onions and mushroom soups and tomato sauces and more its fun but you end up looking like how people lived in pre refrigeration
theres alot of people who can weird shit and some cool stuff here i do it about every fall
and leads into thanks giving when its about done
ye would be cool to make a massive course in Mario Maker and try and replicate it with lego, the only downside is that its €60 so its about the same price as Mario Maker too
thought about making a fancier version of the kind people make in those popcorn tins
but firebrick/clay is really weak, was gonna see about doing like bank vaults do with the twisted steel bits but never figured out the logistics of getting the steel bits/what would be easiest way to make it if i had to, like maybe expanded steel sheet(those grates they use for gantry/steps and stuff kinda looks like a chainlink fence but its from one sheet of steel) and just cut out sections with tinsnips or something idk
had heard of people doing like 50/50 fire clay and concrete with decent success, but was gonna add the extra special sauce to beef it up
if doesnt work gonna just redraw entire thing prolly (out door atleast)
has a dumb thing where when you stitch the maps together(where it auto scrolls from the one onto the other seamlessly(mostly)) that you cant align it i dont think maybe if do some hex editing or something could do something idk
it just aligns left corner to left corner, but basically i want bigger maps(since its the smol town map) to be like 2-4x size prolly, can do really big ones actually but just dont want the tiny ones, kinda annoying having to align stuff/can get weird when you load in other sections if you come from different direction, isnt really made for making one masive open world map, supposed to only line up like one on each side/not as a grid of them aligning with adjacent ones with the other adjacent ones, shifts them around weird, gap and stuff sometimes,
can just extend the one map so i dont have to redraw entire thing, but thinking try do a jungle section to block off the other side or something,
