So bitcoin is falling again. After the drop to $9000 it spiked back up to $12k and now it just dropped back down to $10600.
How interesting.
If it keeps falling I may throw $100 at it because why not. Just will wait for it to spike again and sell the amount I got for more.
Hopefully it does drop enough to make gpus start popping up again but idk that’s rather unlikely. Might happen though?
I will say though @Dje4321 i really like the 5k IMac & IMac pro. Except for one fatal flaw that is; which is not being able to use it as just a display like the older iMacs could.
Otherwise are quite nice machines.
Yeah I hate that too… may need to get a job for the rest of the year so I can get the car I want and be able to eat

To me it looks very much like a Microsoft Surface, could be decent though as there is a need for devices like this in business but depends how it differs from Microsoft’s offering.

So I may be either having someone build for me, or just building myself, a lets split style 40% keyboard for reasons.
Partially because I want one, partially because my grandpa could use it for typing if he can get used to the layout.
Will see.
So far have ordered some gateron yellow switches, got 61 for $25 shipped. Could have gotten 400 for $90 shipped but meh?

Will only cost the $25 for switches, $40-50 for the PCB and case and either I build it or have someone else build it for $10ish plus round trip shipping. So either way not too bad.

Lel. Tried getting a box of cigars from cigarbid, which is a 21+ site to buy stuff because tobacco laws I guess. They let me make an account and bid. And I won a box… but when they asked for age confirmation and i told them that I’m 20 they banned my account (presumably until I’m 21 but I have no idea really rofl)
Not even mad. That said another site that has a similar policy let me buy from them just fine so… Yeah. Oh well.

Amazon does that weird thing where they make you pay for shipping on 18+ rated movies (Kill Bill Vol.1), even if you’re a Prime member. So I’ll probably never buy 18+ rated movies there.
Oh, and I might be legitimately retarded. Remembered that I - probably to see what it does - turned off “HD Audio” in the UEFI…so maybe that’s the reason why toslink didn’t work.

When I had that audio/video de-sync issue I found that as a possible solution online (for me it helped to undo a check mark in the playback device settings). Disabling HD audio in the UEFI didn’t affect sound via 3.5mm and USB, so I forgot about it.
First PC build. Was panicking because there was no video output at all. Fuck.
It helps plugging the PSU cable into the GPU…
And I’m one of those people that think “oh, I’m so smart, I don’t make simple mistakes like that. do you think I’m a complete moron?”…“hey, it’s me again. turns out I AM a complete moron”.

It took a bit. Learned a bit while I was doing it. Also gave me an excuse to play with several different distros.
Now I can work on my long promised why I won’t write for DC, Marvel or Image. Also that one thread hidden on the forums here. A Linux distro guide caused me to put a few things on the back burner except writing of my book.

Because the moderators at Level1techs also contributed to the guide. Because of who I am I would first get permission to also post it here. The reason I didn’t do this is cause: We don’t really have a linux community per say. Our forum doesn’t need it yet.
That doesn’t mean I won’t port it later without what the other mods and leaders contributed, just not at this time.
