It’s ~$180 new on Newegg.
It’s up to you if you want to take the risk/inconvenience for $30 if somethings broken.

Star Citizen now has a roadmap for the year which is neat:
3.4 is the one I’d be tempted to actually fire up and dive into the alpha. Thing is what is done in alpha should be be wiped when the beta comes out. Then when it comes out wipe for beta as well. That is how Elite did it at least.

Star Citizen looks very interesting and the roadmap has some pretty lofty goals but I’m still very skeptical about it. I’ve made a point of not getting into this game at all until after its released and I know exactly how it is and not beforehand.

So, the HD 598SR fit on the headphone holder I made for the M40x (cause the headband is a similar size). I still need a new one to fit the K712s too cause of the weirdly shaped headband on those.
I won’t be hanging the M40x cause the plastic on them is creaking to the point where they’re not usable (might try to fix that sometime in the future, but I also need new ear pads but those are an issue AFTER the creaking has been taken care of), but I still want a new one for the HD 598SR.
Which means 2x new DIY headphone holders. I want to at least figure out how I want them to look, what materials to use and which one gets mounted where (which will influence the shape of them).
Probably going to use wood again, covered with some kind of fabric (should have some felt left).

Yes I’ve seen that. Some of the stuff outlined in the does make them look a little bit sketchy, although some of that could be put down to honest mistakes on their part its just whether you believe they are actually being malicious or not and I’m not sure. I will say that in my opinion that Shroud Research is a huge conflict of interest for them and really need to decide how they are going to handle this because you can’t have your fingers in both those pies at once and not be seen as at least somewhat biased.

which sometimes is hard to tell but it’s why I’ve never followed PCper or HardOCP, never seemed like they were quite right/legitimate/whatever and in both cases my gut feelings on the both of them turned out to be right.
Really you shouldn’t trust any reviewer and put your trust in collective reviews from multiple sources because of stuff like this. In the case of PCper they have some very tough questions that need to be answered in light of this for people to trust them again.

Found one Asrock X370 Killer/SLI AC but it’s on a bid that starts at $75 with a few days left yet.
other than that theres also a taichi for a $110 on bid or $150 to buy… hmmm
