But that can also be a good thing.
Apparently it doesn’t run that great on consoles. It could mean lots of bug fixes, performance improvements and maybe even DLC readily available for the PC launch.

Or it could mean that the game will be an unoptimized port with poor performance and higher price because of bundled content.

From what I’ve read and seen (YT) the teams intentions seem to be good.

Tsujimoto and Tokuda said the delay on the Windows version release is “to make sure it’s optimized and fine-tuned for the PC as much as possible”, with all work being done internally within Capcom to avoid treating the game as an outsourced port. They also seek to have Monster Hunter: World support a wide variety of personal computer configurations, and need the additional time to achieve this broad range. Additionally, the Windows platform lacks the built-in matchmaking that is in Xbox Live or PlayStation Network, requiring them to build their own version for this.

I mean, sure, Capcom on PC…the RE4 “HD” version was a turd and the first RE remaster also got some criticism for some outdated textures.

so ive been struggling to compile a kernel because im not used to how this kernel generates images. i was expecting the vmlinux to be my kernel. nope its the bzImage in …/arch/x86/boot/ :woman_facepalming:

yeah me either. last time I properly compiled a kernel that wasn’t my phone was 4.12 for LFS but that did use vmlinuz.
