for 1080P dual 6970s are… quite nice, actually. Heck they can probably run 1440p OK except for the only having 2gb or VRAM per card (which only matters in some games).
Other than power draw when gaming (temps are more than fine but the cards dump about as much heat into my room as my 390 does, which is a thing.) That said if it’s just for gaming the power draw isn’t that bad at all, like 400-600 watts from the wall (350 to 520 watts when PSU efficiency is accounted for). That is including the CPU when gaming.
quite nice actually. And other than when Xfire is broken performance is good for High/Ultra settings at 60+ FPS generally at 1080P except in badly optimised games.

Damn, all these rogue pictures… Now I want to fire up Black Flag again… but idk if it will work since I moved uplay to the other drive and haven’t started it since.
I’ll probably find it to be too much of a hassle, then end up playing hearthstone.
