The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

Haha, it’s the same as on the other forum.

Since I spend so much time on the helpdesk there, I thought I’d find a picture of me in 25 years.

Rofl. It definitely is more accurate of the other forum than here but either way is amusing.

I like to keep uniform identity across forums so I can carry my helpful status.

Even though my posts don’t show up here, if someone knows about both forums, they’ll know to talk to me for anything Linux/Cloud (I know) related.

Hopefully we’ll eventually get more newbies on here so I can build a group of loyal followers who will go around and like all my posts. :stuck_out_tongue:

Aint that how it goes though? the people who like your posts depend on your active topics?

You’re more active on the anime side if I remember correctly, so you’ll get a lot of likes there.

I am more active on the passthrough/neckbeard side, so I get people like @Dje4321 and @Michael there.

Yep. The laptop im getting from @Cavemanthe0ne should support PCIe passthrough so thats gonna be fun to try.

Because once upon a time HP made elitebooks that were actually great, lol

all depends on what the IOMMU groups look like and whether or not VT-d is actually enabled

I’ve got an Elitebook 840 g3… hmmm now you’ve got me curious.

What’s the model?

About that, hows your time with looking glass going. I tried a lot of the earlier builds but haven’t used it recently as my computer isn’t setup correctly for passthrough anymore.

Too new.
Not that those are bad but are borderline
The Elitebook 8740W and 8560P and iirc 8760w were badass machines

I’m not using it right now. Too unstable and I don’t use windows enough.
