The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

hmm must have misread that, native at 30 is pretty good enough.

i would rather have 60fps regardless of how shit the game looks

yep still not bad considering where you were before though.

lel should be interesting, could possibly get it native 60.

The cable bent on my laptop is hard todo without the solder joints snapping :frowning:

that sucks. You could unsolder it so you can position it and then resolder it

yeah completely re-soldered both and they seem to be holding now and with the glue in place they aren’t moving anymore.

also the wires your using are pretty overkill but it should work

yep salvaged them from an old psu because it was all i had, sorta makes them harder to solder because of how big they are compared to where I’m soldering to.

yep. the switch should just shorts the connectors together to trigger a event. you could get away with stupidly thin wires

yep whatever works though. have to glue in the button now but can see it being difficult and gluing the button to the on position.

could use the paperclip to help apply pressure to the button to keep it held in place

yep went alright anyway, button is held in place and everything works greats.

yep just need to screw everything back together, throw Linux on it and it’ll be great

Will probably do that tomorrow though as well as write up my thread on it.

Doesn’t Louis Rossmann use copper wire without a jacket in his repairs?
Is he really that good at positioning it or is there a trick so it doesn’t touch anything and causes a short?

it does not have the standard insulation that you see with normal wires. It has a enamel coating on it which just melts away when soldering. is also referred to as magnet wire.
