The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

Ignoring the performance issues on PC gameplay wise Black flag is probably one of the best AC games to date especially the ship combat which is totally awesome

Rogue is pretty much more Black Flag but refined and imo slightly better story.

i mean not the in game story but the outside of game story (if that makes sense). Like the modern-day part of the story I was angry at in III but the main part was decent so there’s that.
Will see.
The best IMO is still Revelations from a combat perspective but i digress.

Yeah modern day stuff is a little weird. is somewhat toned down in Black Flag/Rogue but its still there iirc can mostly quickly skip through that stuff.

Yep. The mix between modern and main storyline in Revelations was by far the best combo of both in Assassins Creed as far as I can tell… and then they went and ruined it with III rofl. Oh well, it is Ubisoft after all…

AC went downhill after III but even II was fairly shit.

II and all the expansi-
sorry, games. should have been one single game but meh.
the fact that it’s split into like 3 (maybe 4?) Ezio games is annoying. Could have been one long one.

I mean pretty much the entire series is kind of a trainwreck at this point. The game is soo disjointed and makes massive changes between games in the story/gameplay elements that its hard to tell what Ubisoft are even doing. Don’t get my started on how bad Unity was though.

Only thing i need to explain how bad Unity was is the fact that it was making 50k+ draw calls to a API with a theoretical limit of 10k draw calls. Whats even worse is how shit the newest one is

yeah no wonder performance tanked in that game and to think they expected that to run well on consoles let alone PCs. IMO best thing to come out of that game were the model glitches which were hilarious but other than that meh. and yea new one is soo bad it isn’t even worth mentioning.

and Ubisoft keeps fucking themselves with the whole DRM thing because people who pirate the game get a super clear advantage. The game not only runs like it supposed to but they get a better experince for free

Yep the active DRM in that game is a joke. I hate DRM as much as anyone but when it start to clearly impact performance is where I really draw the line. but on the bright side at least they are giving people a reason to pirate it.

this grip game is insanity lol

going to have to stream that to show the level of SPPPEEEEEEDDD and crazyness
is cool though
is like the old arcade combat racers had a love child and then added a TON of new stuff too

Looks neat. I love combat racing games but haven’t played any in a little while though.

It’s also surprisingly demanding. My R9 390 can barely push 40 FPS on Low at 4k.
Then again is 4k but still

yeah… 4k does that. imo would look much better at 1080p high anyway.

f off i just want to play assassins creed lol
meh, guess i’ll dig out my account info again

Yeah because DRM always hated that Ubisoft games on Steam still require Uplay to actually play them.

So ive got my GTA:SA install tuned fairly well. is getting near native performance and only slows down when the laptop starts to overheat (easy fix. just need to OC the fans when i play and set them to back to stock when i finish)

Nice didn’t think wine could be tuned that well. Also :ok_hand: for fan overclock
