Wine can be tuned to the point where it gets better than native performance in some very rare cases (mostly due to bypassing api limitations)
i mostly upgraded to wine-staging and did a few tweaks. Enabled CMST, disabled GLSL, allowed EAX audio, and a few other things
Neat. I might have to mess around with wine some and see what I can get running with it 
its stupid easy to use for any openGL or DX9 games
One thing im gonna try is modding GTA:SA here in a bit and see how that goes
Yep havenât used wine too much for games before but should be good. Also kinda related Looking Glass doesnât work with DX9 games so looks like Wine is still a great solution for that.
Neat would be awesome if you can get mods to work with it
Is a few mods i want to get back. mostly the gravity gun and the portal gun

Missed the chance to play it on my 5+ hour car ride because i couldnt get it working. had to download a unpatched version of the game and patch out the license verifaction myself

Both the assassins creed games I got seem fun enough but Rogue doesnt like my keyboard lol so doesnt work well
And AC IV crashed 15 mins into the game

Half tempted to either break them both to run well or return them lol.
Well you can tell that both those games were not made to run very well on a PC so a return might be a better option there. It isnât like youâd be missing very much either as the only standout thing about those games is the ship battles.

This is one of the few games I want boxed copies of because the games are so good its nice to have them. Also they still package the DVDs in the boxed copies so is an added bonus.
Haha. Flight stick was causing the controller issues. Now it works fine after unplugging it.

after fixing it it does play pretty well though. 4k at Nomal preset on an r9 390 hovers in the 50 FPS range, which isnât too bad at all.
yep rogue can run pretty well. I even tried it at 4K (4096Ă2160) once with my 970 on a TV because reasons and it wasnât completely terrible.
