Now that; is an upgrade lol
$800 shippingā¦ k den. Are they shipping them individually via carrier pigeon or something?
Yeah old battery when it was new was around 2 hours so this one should do fair pretty well. could possibly even get a couple of hours gaming on it now.
the laptop im getting from @Cavemanthe0ne should get like 20+ hours of runtime with both the main battery and the extended battery XD. that is with the iGPU though
yeah would love a battery like that, being able to get almost a day out of normal usage would be soo good.
wrong laptop XD. the quick spec page suggests about 6 hours under full load with both batterys XD
12-16 under lighter loads
damn that still aināt too bad though, your minimum is still higher than my maximum XD
Thatās on the igpu though lol. It has a dgpu in it as well sooo
Still very impressive though, Iād be luckily to get anywhere near that and iirc my laptop doesnāt have an igpu so yea
i was taking into consideration the dGPU
we are talking about 175Whr of battery here. dGPU draws 13.3W of power so even at a MASSIVE 35W power draw im still looking at 5 hours of battery life
Thats not taking into account ineffiencies in both the battery and laptop though. So lets just say its really 45-50 watts for a 35 watt load. (85% ish efficiency). That would be a lot less.
still talking a few hours of battery. Im sure i could get power usage down to 10-15W with still decent performance
Also the hard drive if you add one would be 5-15 watts all to itself lol.
Ssds are like 5 watts maybe. maybe.
So probably 2-4 hours under normal use.
5-8 if you really customize all the things and are only web browsing
actually not sure if im adding the HDD to it yet
You thinking of going full solid state, my laptop right is one a single ssd and I prefer it due to less heat and power but damn do I miss the disk space for games but its mostly fine.
I grabbed an X1 Yoga because of the whack-ass quad cores theyāre shoving in them, butā¦ the thermals leave something to be desiredā¦
Even though I have absolutely no need for one whatsoever anymore, Iām resisting the urge to get a T430, just because you can drop a quad-core straight in, slap on some conductonaut to help with the throttling and be off to the races.
I just picked up a razer blade stealth.
I still want someone to make a laptop that uses modern processors with nothing but pure battery in the laptop. Imagine getting 8 hours of gaming battery life and not being thicker than a thinkpad
