yep. my uncles wife has spent most of her adult life getting her doctorate and considers herself higher than other people because of it. Has walked into our house and demanded that we clean because it wasnt up to her standards

Who even has the time to keep anything that clean. I somehow doubt sheâs much better though and just likes to act all high and mighty.
I have an uncle who itâs not uncommon to see kill a moth, then proceed to eat it. Heâs a great guy.

Nah, that only counts for actual audio gear, not the source.
DAC + Amp + Headphones + a pair of stereo speakers is all I need. No weird Dolby Surround Fucktard 69.1, no wireless, no bluetooth, no gimmicky crap. Just the bare necessities with good quality.
Oh, and a few audio crystals.

I donât care about all the USB and all that.
The only super useful thing to have is Digital audio input because the clean sound that those have is unparalleled. As it uses a laser lol vs the usual electric cables.
Beyond that I mostly ignore tube amps unless Iâm going for a rock or metal sound because you cant beat a tube amp for rock music.
For anything else tho its hit or miss.
So I generally recommend a moderately new amp/reciever that has a digital input and the rest is optional as long as the thing does good, clean audio.

Also because most modern (useful) audio sources are digital.
Iâd prefer Coax fiber but for now Iâll test my new DAC/Amp with the USB.
Can go old too. Amps havenât improved that much over the years generally. Can find an old used amp and a pair of old speakers and youâre set for a while.
New doesnât automatically mean better. Like used, âbroken-inâ headphones vs new ones.
