Think I may nuke netdata. Apcupsd ended up being an easy fix. Setup ssmtp and sent test email from netdata successfully. But setting up new alarms is both cumbersome and they donāt work.

TL;DR. Nvidia is only going to heavily promote nvidia exclusive brands. If MSI were to sign onto this then they would no longer be allowed to make AMD or INTEL GPUs.

Yes but from the sounds of it nvidia is going to basically try and kill off any brands not part of the GPP prorgam. Some brands even fear they may go as far as limiting the number of cards they receive.

Same here. This was the final nail in the coffin. I thought about picking up something like a 770 or a 960 off ebay for a decent price but now i dont even know if i want to go that far. Guess im gonna have to get a 480/580 now

"It was expressed to me that publishing this article "could damage the relationship" between HardOCP and NVIDIA. As noted previously, we have been reviewing computer hardware for quite a while. What "damaging the relationship" means to us is that HardOCP will very likely not be doing any NVIDIA GPU reviews at launch time. It is very likely that AIBs and OEMs will be instructed to not to sample HardOCP for reviews on any of their video card products as well. If you do see NVIDIA video card reviews on HardOCP in the future, those will likely be fully funded in-house, as we will be required to purchase all of the review hardware from retail sources. We feel however that this story surely needs to be told.'

Not that some if it wasnt warranted (pointing out that there was no goal of the program and it was never made clear wtf it really was) but there were also times where he went ape because for some reason he thought RTP was getting early access to hardware to do reviews or some crap lol.

Manā¦ the list of reasons to not go Nvidia is staggering when the only reason to go with them is āthey perform better at the high end immediately after launchā
Cons off the top of my head
- Lack of performance improvements with driver updates compared to AMD (shorter lifespan)
- Overpriced
- Only releasing certain chips in the cycle to exploit consumers
- GeForce Experience
- Shady shit pulled when they launched Pascal
- āFounders Editionā
- GPP
- re-categorizing their chips when they launched Titan so their XX80 chip is more expensive when it should be the XX70 chip at best as it was before they launched the Titan series
- Titan pricingā¦
- Shoddy drivers depending on card (my buddy has had nothing but driver issues with his 1080)

We did get Ryzen 7 a few weeks before launch and Ryzen 5 a week before launch but we had all the rules that the media had in place regarding NDAs and such so it was basically the same as reviews. Which I actually did for the 1800X. I never did any for the Ryzen 5s simply because it was not that different than the 1800X in gaming because all Ryzen that have the same amounts of cache basically game the same and thats all Iām going to do is gaming tests so yeah lol
