that’s not so much of a problem here as the best schools at sports are large and can afford it, plus Hockey is the only sport Minnesota cares about at a state level for high school.

That sucks, so they’re actually turning down good candidates? Our problem is mostly that there is so much bureaucracy more than actual teaching.

its a pretty big problem. is about 6-7 teachers here that are only here for coaching and they dont teach shit. They just throw up a powerpoint and expect you to take notes while they fuck off in the back
Our school had a pretty bad pregnancy problem.

Yep. We mostly have small schools because most towns have a population of less than 500 people so teachers have required to teach 2-3 subjects so the amount of teachers that fit that are low plus with the budget shortfalls you cant even really afford to pay the ones that can

that’s bad, my high school had departments for each subject so we had no teachers teaching multiple subjects. granted my high school was ranked like 3rd in the state for public schools.

So its the same old problem of wanting somebody todo more work than they’re qualified for but not being paid for it? Schools here aren’t that bad because we usually have a teacher for each subject but in some cases subjects get mixed together.

our elementry school couldnt afford any more teachers so 2 teachers taught 4 subjects for 2 grades and they had 4 class periods to manage all of it
