They’re also the only 1 of 2 big PC game magazines in Germany that still lists min/rec specs. The other one (PC Games) stopped a few months ago. It’s annoying af.
Why would they stop that’s useful info
idk. maybe to look less spec-nerdy? I missed the issue in which they stopped. maybe there was some explanation that I didn’t get to read.
The only reason I can think of is that their audience is all hard core PC gamers with systems that meet or exceed the rec requirements to begin with.
how’s it going
They always listed the min/rec specs. Only thing I can think of is to appear more simplistic/minimalistic. Which is stupid.
I really hate this trend
Pretty well. Having beer and stuffs later cuz st paddys day so.
When people on YT (or in general) do that they only appear more smug and like pretentious pricks talking out of their ass.
“Nonono, you see, specs are outside of the game. We focus on the inside of the game, the immersion, no distraction. What did the creator of this game want to tell us? Lets think about it together and I will tell you why I’m so smart and deep and talk like a drugged douchebag who sniffs his own farts”.
My main requirement for a game is whether or not it’s fun. All the other shit is meaning less of the underlying game is not fun.
Totalbiscuit had an interesting bit about that question. Do games need to be fun to be entertaining or “good”? What about games that deal with heavy topics (cancer, hard fates, etc)?
I don’t remember if it was part of a WTF is…? video or a separate one or part of an episode of the Co-optional Podcast.
I watched that video at some point but I don’t remember much of it
Livestream is over. Archive is being uploaded to youtube. I’ll let you know when it goes live.
Archive of Livestream is now up on youtube:
Roughly 6 or 7 more episodes are left for Hellblade. I know this cause each part/level takes about an hour to complete. Also I’m taking pictures along the way. Pictures will be posted a little later than normal today.
Slow day
Yup.
