I’m going to make a macaroni, cheese, and ham casserole for dinner. Why? Cause I want to.

@Michael
Was just wondering why an order placed on Amazon Germany on last Thursday, shipping with Austrian Postal Service would take until next Thursday to arrive.

lel now you’ll have to deal with two rubbish postal services XD

When I got a manga from Book Depository (ordered via Amazon) they at least packed it properly and even included a bookmark (simple thick paper, but does the job perfectly).
Thought about just always buying English manga from them but takes longer and a bit higher price.

Wondering who deals with it in the UK. Usually when something comes from the UK it’s handled by Royal Air Mail, not the postal service of another country that’s not even sharing a border.

Yes its strange but I’d just put that down to Amazon being Amazon. When I’ve ordered stuff thats came from Germany it always says either Royal Mail or Amazon Delivery and usually don’t even know until I check tracking.

Tracking is usually pretty okay, but it’s either Austrian Postal Service or DHL or in rare cases UPS. DHL doesn’t have its own stores, so I have no idea where I’d have to get it from in case I’m not home when they try to deliver packages. With the Austrian Postal Service I just get a note in the mailbox and the Android app and can get it whenever at the next store.

I also have no idea when I have to sign and when I don’t. Had packages stuffed in my mailbox that didn’t need a signature and others where 20 more of them would’ve fit (like those small envelopes they ship USB flash drives or microSD cards with) that required a signature. Doesn’t even matter what it’s shipped as (Premium, Small Package, etc.). No clue what determines it if it needs a signature or not.

Whether it needs a signature or not usually depends on the seller and most of the time If I order stuff on Amazon through a third-party seller it requires a signature but it doesn’t if I order directly from Amazon.

i understand that if your buying a $1000 laptop but when they do it for something that costs $5-$10

Yes it doesn’t really make sense especially when signed delivery costs more, I’ve even ordered a Ā£2 HDMI cable that required a signature once but its usually not that bad.

Not even the value of the shipped item seems to play any role here.
Having a tracking number doesn’t seem to matter either.
No clue.

But they’ll ship 44€ worth of laptop RAM from the UK to here without a tracking number and no signature needed (that’s how I got it for free, as they don’t report back to Amazon if they delivered it or not).
