Should work if I can set the chroot setup, its just going to require a lot of compiling on my phone.

You should, playing with Android and seeing what your phone is capable of is fun and can do soo many things you canāt on stock Android, if you do though be very careful and prepared to break things.

I use my phone as an alarm clock and calendar plus I canāt afford a new one if I brick it, so itās a risky prospect for me.

I might mess with the ā¦ Galaxy S5? That I have just laying around to see what I can do with it. I also have like 4 of the pre-moto X Motorola phones to break if I want but ā¦ Lazy. Lol.
It would be interesting though. Then again I canāt be arsed to do as much as customize linux half the time beyond UI stuff so its unlikely ill actually do it anytime soon xD

yep it isnāt something you should take lightly if its your only option, bricking phones nowadays is very rare though and can usually recover from it fairly easily. Iāve soft bricked mine a couple of times but was always able to flash the stock rom and set everything setup again.
