Very Interesting as I remember the Inspiron Gaming last year being touted as the budget gaming laptop to get and by all accounts still had fairly decent build quality for around $800 i think it was. From this it looks like they are lowering on the build quality by using more plastic parts and upping the hardware specs for the same or similar price?
Yeah the 7870 is still pretty decent.
The 7770 has 640 cores so its somewhere around an RX 550ish in performance. Granted the 7770 is older and uses more power than the rx 550 but still.

It actually looks as good if not better than microcenter though, and thats a pretty high bar so not bad.

Yeah that seems to be the case. If the laptops perform well then it could lead to more sells. Iāll be watching for sure to see how it does.

afaik we donāt have something like that here. closest thing to it are Saturn/Mediamarkt stores but they have a) less variety and b) sell other stuff like kitchen stuff, washing machines, beard trimmers, phones, etc too. Prices are often cheaper online.
and there are some small shops but theyāre meh. canāt just go in there and expect to grab it off the shelf (none of the 2 I visited even had shelves, just a counter).
we have some dedicated e-tailers though (Mindfactory, Alternate, etc) but I just keep buying from Amazon cause other stores have a free for paying (fuck that).

Finally. Will be done in 20-30mins. My supervisor is coming down because me and him apperently are the only people who give enough of a damn to show up to work lol.
Finally will be able to play with that 390X after. And then also have food and hang out with some extended family in a bit. And then sleeeep before work atā¦ 6am lol. Which is better than the 5am of today by a bit.

Amazon employees are currently on strike here, so the wait couldāve been much longer. Pretty impressive considering I ordered today (Sat) and itāll arrive on Monday.
Had to get a 1ā¬ more expensive microSD card cause the other wasnāt gonna show up until Tuesday (same brand/model, just not in a āfrustration-lessā package -> Amazon takes it out of the shitty blister pack and puts it in a small cardboard envelope).

kinda long winded rant
So It is very likely that my ISP is going to finally rollout IPv6 but thereās rumors about the implementation they are using with that could be very bad for me. It is looking like they are not going with a full dual-stack implementation but instead are going to use NAT on ISP side with a shared IPv4 address and IPv4 over IPv6 tunneling to the clients. This essentially means I will only have an IPv6 connection to my ISP and will effectively remove my ability to serve anything over IPv4 in the future such as the forums. I really hope this isnāt true as it would make me very angry.

still a few issues but Iāll be flashing the BIOS on the card and see if that fixes them. but stable enough to run benches anyway

figures, it was running the wrong bios lol. probably modded for mining.
now it has the correct one on it. so far seems to be running a lot better as well. still have odd issues in firestrikeā¦ hmm.
seems to run Space Hulk Deathwing fine though?
might just be firestrike being wierd as thatās not that surprising lol

if a bit warmā¦ but i mean, itās a 390X so yeah lol. i may replace the thermal paste at some point. then again Iām not far off what the reviews had the temps at (within a degree or two) so meh? (like 80C under full load).
