People said that the Athlon 64 was back when Ryzen launched… I think Ryzen 2nd gen might be the actual come back of AMD to high end.
If its 5-10% IPC + 5-10% clock speed bump that puts it on par with intel, for the most part.
Will have to see though if its actually and IPC gain and clock boost and not just what Intel says where its “5% IPC gain”… But its really just 5% higher OCed lol

were talking a 4.5Ghz OC on some ryzen chips so its going to get really interesting. the 1% and 0.1% lows are still going to be fairly shit compared to intel due to CCX latency and the fact that infinity fabric speed is still tied to memory speed

Thats been my problem with gaming lately and its kinda killed my motivation for gaming. Ill always start a game and never finish it but the beginning is almost always too boring for me to get into a replay

yep always get the problem with games too. kinda sucks more with games when you know late game is amazing and you could put soo much time into it but you have to get past the hours of boring stuff first.
Its funny you say that as most of the Ryzen chips I have, have lower avg FPS than a competitive Intel but higher .1 and 1% lows. No idea why though lol. Maybe memory bandwidth being higher is why. Also moar cores.
Side note. I’m probably going to be consolidating my stream rig into one machine shortly. As I now have a Cooler Master Haf XM to play with again… So I can have ALL THE THINGS in the case lol. And it has good airflow.

Will have to find some more motherboard standoffs but otherwise the one I have is pretty much ready to go. Only downside is the thing literally weighs 25 lbs by itself but oh well lol

I may wait until X470 though to grab a motherboard to replace my stupid MSI Pissboard though lol. Whether its X370 on sale or X470. Either way.
Damnit. I got distracted with testing the 7770 and then the ES quadro yesterday and didnt stream.

If Intel enters the GPU market, I think it will be on the business professional side.
if they enter the GPU market. wouldnt be surprised if raja was there to just make their iGPUs not shit.
