Yes I have a 4k HDR TV and 4k Blu ray player. I’m only buying 4k blurays of movies I don’t own yet and have been made recently. Cause my 4k bluray player upscales to 4k which is nice.

man. Fuck solus gnome right. fifth time today alone the GDM has crashed. Hell it crashed so hard before lunch that it took down my kernel with it 
wow that is pretty strongly worded, how many bits do you even have that there that scared your automation it?
RIP Is Gnome is Solus really that fucked? I’ve never had GDM crash often or that badly ever before.

its REALLY bad. usally GDM does ok but right now it cant even look straight without crashing

yeah I mean GDM is usually solid but thats kinda crazy, iirc straight Budgie also uses GDM and that seems to be fine in Solus so must just be gnome thing so hopefully mate will be fine.

Interesting I never knew that. I thought Budgie slightly based on Gnome as I heard that it mimics gnome to some apps to make them work which is why I thought It used GDM.

atleast on my install they used the KDE one. Budgie is based in gnome but they have put alot of work into making it mean and lean. Gnome only runs like shit as most of it is written in JS iirc

Yeah iirc it is built mostly from the ground up to make it as fast as possible and Gnome is kinda a bloated mess at this point in many ways. Just checked and Budgie uses LightDM for the display manager which was the default on Ubuntu. iirc KDE uses SDDM in plamsa now but LightDM is pretty solid though and very light compared to GDM.

So i might end up doing some editing work for a youtuber/livestreamer. They been bitching about how they need a editor for youtube and it might be a fun thing todo.

yep that would be pretty neat and also some good experience to hone your skills at editing, also helping the creator to make some of the content you love is a plus

yep. content should be easy enough to edit because its just removing the repetitive bits. Granted its like polishing a turd but still XD

I mean even turds need polished and anything you can do to make the content better is a plus. even just removing the repetitive stuff would be a huge thing as its hard for the person who makes the videos to edit their own stuff subjectively so you could make a huge difference.
