Most of my free time will be spent rewriting the start of the new arc.
Why :
Pacing. Also to avoid suddenly out of nowhere.
Whatever the medium, if it has suddenly out of nowhere events, then it is a poor story.

Also speaking of stories you may be wondering where the state of storytelling in video games video is. Iā€™ve been talking with my sources to get a better sense of what are publishers pushing. It has been interesting what I have learned so far.

Video game project news:
Itā€™s on hold kinda.

You may have guessed my sources are devs. Iā€™ve been talking with one of them about my project. They suggested I try to make it as a mod instead. Since the game I had in mind is a FPS, Iā€™m going to use the latest build of Valve Source Engine (if I remember correctly). Iā€™ll keep you guys posted.

neat idea to make it a mod instead, the source engine is a good choice and there are soo many great games based on it even very story driven titles, Iā€™ll be very interested in how this turns out.

Working on a game review today for a game releasing tomorrow, possibly streaming later but not sure, and otherwise just getting up lol. At nearly 2pm but w/e I was up till 430AM watching EDC on twitch so. Which was incredibly amusing watching the twitch chat react to various sub genres of Electronic music lmaoā€¦ Also well its las Vegas and a rave so there was lots of interesting things on camera but twitch let the stream happen anyway so that was also cool. Or funny? Probably both lolā€¦

ok, so my review of Ancestors Legacy should be going live at 9am tomorrow. will do a ā€œPremiereā€ on twitch and a normal YT video for it.
hint: itā€™s quite good.
but thats all i can say until then lol. still. just did the video for it :smiley:
will probably also work on some other things

hoooly crap, 6Mb/s 1080P60FPS video takes a lot longer to render than a 720p60 at 4.5Mb/s lol
it also doesnt help that said video is 30mins long but still (render is going to take 30mins in Davinci Resolve for the 30min video)

the 3min 720p60 video i rendered was done in 1.5 mins
so yep roughly double time wise

i did the entire game review off hand (like just firing up the game, hit record, and talk about it and all the things needed to know to play the game, how things work, etc) and it ended up at 30mins long and other than a minor derp at the end of the video i actually really like how it turned out
i like this content creation thing for games like this lol

Davinci resolve is super epic
and itā€™s free (or relatively cheap to buy, for the fully enabled professional version, but i dont need that shit yet lol so not dropping $300 for itā€¦ not that i could spend $300 on it anyway right now but thats besides the point)
