Hardware over 10 years old is usually worthless imo.
oh dear god why… it’s bad… but you went and threw raid 0 on top of the bad…
out of all of those drives i can barely make 1TB.
its not even raid 0. its a tiered raid 0. i take 2 drives and run raid 0 over them. then i take that raid and put it in raid 0. so and so on until i hit my 5 drives. i did this to ensure i maximize the speed of the drives XD. each one will fill up equally percent wise. a 500GB drive and a 120GB drive would be at 10% filled instead of having the 120GB drive fill up first and leaving the writes to the bigger drives
My P4 is good enough to get 12 points in Cinebench
im guessing that test is 100% memory limited XD
I mean i have a 20GB sata 1 drive lying around
IDE. Ribbon cables ftw!
i have four ide drives. im at the limit how many i could have installed
Brought my Benz to the dealer today to get some work done to it, under warranty.
They gave me a GLA250 as a loaner. Interesting crossover. FWD, 258lb/ft, wheelspin in 3rd gear.
I’m grumpy though because I like my car.
Damn, @Dje4321 that was a fast like drop
atleast you got a loaner
True. It’s super fun, but it’s a comfort thing. I feel like I’m driving a scissor lift. crossovers are not low to the ground.
Desktop notification notify me quick enough that your post hasnt even made it to my screen XD
Nah, I’m glad they’re a thing of the past. Those cable made cable management a pain in the ass.
But SATA ports could be a bit more sturdy. The plastic on them isn’t really something I’d put much stress onto.
Thats probably more about having a cheap cable then bad plastic. all of my sata cables have a hard stiff outer coating on it
oh. your talking about the connector?
ye. its shit and cant handle much. both stress and power. fucking things catch fire at like 20W of power draw XD
ye the key on the tab for the power connector on one of my drives has snapped clean off.
Both, although the connector is much worse.
On the port side it’s more the spacing that annoys me. Holding the locking mechanism down while trying to pull the cable out should be easier.
