Yeah, that’s annoying me too with everything, be it books, CDs, DVDs, Blurays, games.
Especially if it’s from the same publisher and from a series. How do they fuck that up?
The PS2 games here had boring af spines. All white and it was annoying to look for a title cause every one of them (except for steel cases) looked the same. Black font on white background.
At least the XBox games and the PS2 games had the logo on the spine on the top. But noooo, Nintendo had to be different and positioned theirs on the bottom. Good thing I didn’t have a GC.
I’m surprised there even using standard m.2 NVMe’s in the PlayStation 5 instead of some proprietary shit like their XQD memory cards even though its literally just PCI express.
ye prolly depends on dumb marketing stuff though :X if didnt put in asterisk in early ads about if you use 3rd party drives it might be terribly slow etc, on any public announcement/ad about how its fast or whatever
think the license is different from the oem too, where the oem has language specifying its more for 1 exact system, where retail is 1 system at a time, so none of that call them to release the thing to activate or whatever like the system builders one if update and reinstall
They key is mobo locked so i can just reinstall and log in with windows account and its good to go while i hate if for the need of a account the convenience is nice i give all fake info anyways
4. Transfer. The provisions of this section do not apply if you acquired the software in Germany or in any of the countries listed on this site (aka.ms/transfer), in which case any transfer of the software to a third party, and the right to use it, must comply with applicable law.
a. Software preinstalled on device. If you acquired the software preinstalled on a device (and also if you upgraded from software preinstalled on a device), you may transfer the license to use the software directly to another user, only with the licensed device. The transfer must include the software and, if provided with the device, an authentic Windows label including the product key. Before any permitted transfer, the other party must agree that this agreement applies to the transfer and use of the software.
b. Stand-alone software. If you acquired the software as stand-alone software (and also if you upgraded from software you acquired as stand-alone software), you may transfer the software to another device that belongs to you. You may also transfer the software to a device owned by someone else if (i) you are the first licensed user of the software and (ii) the new user agrees to the terms of this agreement. You may use the backup copy we allow you to make or the media that the software came on to transfer the software. Every time you transfer the software to a new device, you must remove the software from the prior device. You may not transfer the software to share licenses between devices.
but is different for the oem/system builder as thats not the retail and has a different agreement,
dunno for ms account dont have that XD. had a button for skip or something and it just wanted the key, had to again when new ssd cause bios was bein weird with the first one(which now use for random programs since it works fine just sometimes wouldnt see it and have to remove power from board before it would see it)
is basically if do system builder it counts under the a agreement instead of b, but they still let people move it most times, just call the number and be like my mobo died but i got a new one
Those have gotten really cheap. Can get them for ~10€ now. Unfortunately the 512gig ones are still usually 70€+ if you go with Sandisk/Samsung. On the other hand, 32gig don’t make much sense considering their price.
What build version does it come with? Is it somewhat up to date?
I swapped mobo with the same code of Win10 Pro before and re-activating it happened automatically.
mine was super old cause old usb, but if you setup networking think it can update it like mid install/they roll the updates into blobs so you dont have like million like you used to with xp and stuff back in the day
I keep an optical disc drive salvaged from my old laptop with a usb adapter for this reason but is it ever annoying to use. the last time I used it the disc was spinning soo fast the thing yeeted its self off my desk lol
