The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

Great for forums too. Or websites that still don’t span 16:9.

The thicc bezel on the right monitor is insane though.

Is also great for viewing videos people take THE WRONG WAY.

One does not simply watch videos recorded in portrait mode.

It’s a TV my parents were just gonna toss, it works perfectly fine. It’s actually thinner than the other monitor I have laying around, and higher resolution so it was an easy choice which would be my third.

i found a thing you can win lol @Fouquin … this has been hitting the PCMR reddit lately…

I’d like to put the 17" 4:3 monitor to use I got for free cause my mom’s workplace got rid of them (and it’s an Eizo Flexscan and has really good colors actually). But no space left on my desk :frowning:

More screen space with overall less borders would be nice, but for some reason I like separate displays better (would prefer having the same brand/model for all of them though instead if mismatching).

i find more displays useful as well… because i run multiple PCs and then if i feel like it can hook up the monitors to one system instead for that multi monitor things.
i technically have like 5 displays i could use but i only have my room to work with so i only use 2

ultrawides are great, mine is like having two 5:4 displays next to each other on one panel when I tile stuff to either side and still have enough space for both of them but even though I love it I’d still take two regular displays over just this one ultrawide anyday, its just not as versatile having a single display when gaming or watching videos and still being able todo other stuff at the same time.

I mean, if I could still use both halves of a 32:9 monitor independently (like left borderless windowed game, right browser/video/whatever) I’d consider it for the future. But…if it dies, there’s no monitor left. With a multi-monitor setup it’s kinda unlikely that all displays die at the same time.

21:9 would be great for movies and some games but for regular 16:9 content it sucks to have borders on each side.

Brought this up once before but I still remember when Philips released that LCD(?) CinemaScope TV (21:9) specifically for people who watch a lot of movies and are sick of the borders on the top and bottom of the screen, but they were just ahead of their time.

yeah one of the biggest problems with ultrawide has been support especially for games but its gotten better with time. funny thing though is when games try to do a cinematic cutscenes and letter box the top but also don’t support ultrawide your left with a really tiny box in the middle of the screen, Battlefield 1 does this and its hilarious XD

There are still 4:3 monitors being used. Like the company that does my course. Some PCs have 16:9, some have 4:3 (the latter is annoying nowadays, especially when the trainer shows everything on a 16:9 projector and I have to look for the buttons cause they’re stowed away on a 4:3 screen cause less width) -_-

It’s a dry graphite pad, it has an infinite service life.

Hmmm. Not getting much traction, is it? If I build a tower to the ceiling would that get any attention?

Edit: It’s already wobbly. I’m going to just do two stacks.

I literally cannot include all the cards because I don’t have enough space. The two other boxes of older GPUs (2001 and before) are just going to have to stay out of this one.

Edit: Only fucking thing these cards are good for is wanking e-peen lol

Technically vote manipulation if you upvote it, but there’s the post.

also lol at your username

Hey, it wasn’t taken and I wanted something that wasn’t what I used everywhere else. Plus anytime I post about GPUs I get the good, “relevant username lol” meme.
