The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

Which also randomly crashed on me the other day and I had to hard reset because it glitches out sometimes when OCing leading to needing a hard reset after crashes. Including a bios reset. Because f u and your stable settings, they are all gone now have fun starting from scratch
Iā€™m pretty sure the crash was from incorrect fan settings as well, not because of an unstable OC. As I think my CPU fan and one of my case fans are in the wrong places so switching those around will solve that (as Otherwise if I donā€™t set a custom fan profile it overheats lol. Totally forgot about it when ocing the first time so)

Was that the cause of the stream crash yesterday?

Yup. Forgot about the fan profile and yet it was stable during benches at 55C on the CPU and 60 on mobo. Must have overheated from streaming + recording or something, which is strange. But not that surprising lolā€¦ Oddly the CPU doesnt seem to get that warm but the VRMs are much warmer so that might have been it more than the CPU.

I might actaully just throw on my Noctua or perhaps my Enermax cooler on instead though. If they fit and all that. Fixing the fans should do it though. And while Iā€™m at it might as well drop in the 1800X and clean some.

Small rant (feel free to ignore): the more I think about this ā€œunsealed productsā€ thing the more I get pissed. Someone at Amazon is basically saying itā€™s okay to sell used (and maybe even damaged) products as new and lie to their customers about it.
The 18ā‚¬ discount I got offered to keep the last pair of headphones wasnā€™t even 10% of what I paid for them. If the next replacement is also not sealed in plastic Iā€™m requesting my money back and buy somewhere else. Also less likely to buy as much there as I used to.
And while AKG could also be lying and say that all of their products except returns are sealed in plastic, for some reason Iā€™m more willing to believe them.

Okay, this should be enough ranting. Sorry for the negativity.

You have the right to be pissed and rant about it. they are selling you a used product and lying about it. imo I would say fuck it already and go somewhere else.

@Dje4321
Now this I actually quite like, the bare N7. The metal shields ruin it for me personally but damn if this isnt a good looking board without them:

Now if only there was an AM4 lol

If I had more time to decide I wouldā€™ve gone with the refund instead of another replacement.
An audio store near me has them in stock. 233ā‚¬ instead of the 218ā‚¬ I paid (now down to 214ā‚¬ of course), but at least I can see if itā€™s sealed before I pay for it.

I do like the all black and clean look for aesthetics makes perfect sense and would blend well with pretty much anything.

They finally did an actual all black one too rofl
No random splashes of yellow or green or orange to be found.
Unlike gigabyte or most of the other brands other than EVGA

Even more so with a custom loop. A huge air cooler would block close to half of the motherboard.

My K240s were in a new box but said box wasnt sealed. That said, K240s are much cheaper sooo thereā€™s that

Oh hey a 1080
But id have to drive 6 hours total to get it (3 there and 3 back) which would cost $80 ā€¦ Grrrrr

It would be a different story if it was a 1 time thing, Amazon honestly saying ā€œsorry, that was a mistakeā€ and then sent me a sealed, working product.
But 3 times in a row and then giving me all these pre-written phrases that absolutely contradict their behavior.
And Iā€™ve noticed some time ago that their packaging has decreased. Putting the product in a just barely bigger box so it will just fit in is not protecting it. And the headphones arenā€™t really getting any protection in the box either. Some paper or bubblewrap would be highly recommended.
Just no.

That shouldnā€™t matter.

Also if the Amazon grocery thing is ever where you are donā€™t do it lolā€¦
My mom orders stuff from it once in a while and the geniuses managed to put dish soap. Bread. And dish washing packets together with some other random food stuffs in one box; together.
Surprising no one the dish soap exploded all over everything twice because it was free to roll around and hit whatever else in the package and ruined the food in said package ā€¦ Amazon y u do dis. Lol.
They gave a refund both times tho so thereā€™s that.

Was just amusing and kind of annoying at the same time.

Also yay here comes the flood of CES coverage from all the techiesā€¦ It begins.

Nothing is going on, then suddenly CES, boom all the videos! Donā€™t mind it though, least I have some stuff to watch now and its better than when an embargo lifts and all the videos are the same.

Sometimes you really have to wonder what geniuses work there at packaging.
Putting food and non-food in the same packageā€¦derp.

Itā€™s bad enough that theyā€™ll put CDs in a thin cardboard envelope. That stuff ainā€™t gonna prevent the CD cases from getting damaged. (1 of 2 I got today had a small crackā€¦but I said fuck it. need to see if the discs have any damage though).

But usually the packaging should be done in such a way that the products donā€™t get damaged. Especially the US has no shipping company that gives a shit, so packaging should be done right (which would also prevent a lot of returns due to damaged caused during shipping).

Same with one of the K712 I got: only the coiled cable needs to be replaced (other than the fact that itā€™s open box). But noooo, AKG wonā€™t do it and Amazon only replaces the whole thing (headphones, both cables, cloth bag, 1/4" adapter) cause they donā€™t have replacement parts, only the whole product.

And same with the first K702: just refund me the difference. Amazon doesnā€™t do that anymore. Have to send it back, get a FULL refund and order it again for the cheaper price. Thatā€™s just stupid.

Is really interesting to see the mods on L1T actually do something XD
