Mmm Nandos
Do you ever get a weapon ingame that doesnāt have durability and canāt break?
Really not a fan of durability in games when you canāt even repair it. What if it breaks during a boss fight with no other weapons in your inventory?
It feels like Nintendo tried to combine it with the best and ended up putting in the worst of open world and survival games.
They pretty much removed one of the most iconic things from the Zelda series: when you first get your sword. iirc every game had scene like that at the very beginning.
And now you donāt even get to keep your first weapon cause itāll eventually break.
In that way I like Darksiders (at least the first one, still not sure I like the added RPG elements in the 2nd game) much better. You have your ādungeonsā, boss fights, weapons and gadgets you need to get to be able to progress in the game, puzzles, etc.
Yes, itās linear af compared to BotW but did people complain about that in the previous Zelda games?
That looks both basic af and delicious af
kind of? The master sword canāt break but it loses is power after a while and thereās a 10 minute cool down until you can use it again and thereās a couple of very rare weapons in the game that do break but its possible to repair them before they do.
lol it kinda does on a normal table plate but i did only get a buttterfly chicken and chips because i didnāt feel like much else.
It was very delicious
Its a bit too much for me as well as even finding some of the higher end weapons wont do you any good since they break just the same as everything else. The master sword appearently wont break but ive not gotten that far yet.
Should it be turned down? Yes but not by much. It is really good at keeping you on your toes and keeps you creative. It does lead to awesome moments like this though
I still donāt know I have to install to prevent your videos from showing up like this for me:
They couldāve done it like in Monster Hunter where your weapons get dull, emptying a bar, and needing to sharpen then. So you donāt need to look for the same weapon over and over again to have an advantage over certain types of monsters.
btw, you have your own technical forum?
No idea. It just works for me

You are never looking for the same weapon over and over again. Everything falls into a average range with a few going above it. Weapons more fall into types with One handed, two handed, spears, etc with some having a better advantage in some situations than others
It is also worth noting that different types of weapons tend to have higher durability than other like wooden weapons tend to break easier and can burn in fire or guardian weapons are very powerful but tend to have lower durability while standard metal shields and other weapons will last longer plus certain weapons/shields can have arguments such as durability+ which will make them last longer. I mean I still have the Daybreaker shield which I got after defeating Vah Naboris which was the first divine beast I tackled and it still hasnāt broke and i rarely use another shield. also somewhat depends on how you use the weapons too with attacks like the power charge, jump attack and throwing have a great affect on durability.
Yeah, no. I meant the more special weapons with magic (fire, ice, etc) to have an advantage over specific enemies.
Even a potion you apply to your current weapon to give it an elemental effect for some time would be better than looking for that kind of weapon on its own.
Maybe some codec thingy missing for embedded media? It āworksā when I open the link in a new tab (this time it wants me to open it with my media player outside of Firefox).
Not really used that much and you have arrows that take up that mantle.
You really dont. Only elemental weapon i found was during a shrine
never lol. Only weapons ive found that dont break upon being thrown is the boomerangs
Still not sold on the whole durability thing.
But itās a shame cause it (and the fact that I donāt own a Switch) keeps me from experiencing an otherwise good game.
ye honestly pretty much every weapon i throw that isnāt a boomerang will almost certainly break when i throw it.
IMO if you just want to play BOTW and dont want to play anything else than just pick up a used WiiU for like $100. Though the switch is a amazing console/handheld and is worth the money if you can swallow the nintendo game pricing
Emulation is also a option
Thatās true. I wanted to get one myself some time ago just for BotW as an impulse purchase but it was sold out everywhere.
There are some games that interest me (either already out or only announced yet).
What I really like about the Switch is that itās handheld but with the best performance so far of all handheld devices (ignore gaming tablets with pumped up specs) AND itās just that: a gaming device. No distracting social media, no loophole to start procrastinating. Kinda like a KIndle is for reading only vs a tablet thatās for much more media consumption.
Has Nintendo ever announced that they got rid of the JoyCon Bluetooth thing where it would lose connection randomly? Or the screen that apparently scratches easily when inserted into the dock?
Never had any issues though i updated my joycons and switch as soon as i got it
Is the youtube app but there isnt any multitasking
Iāve had my Switch for over a year at this point and havenāt experienced any of those issues. Iāve never had he JoyCons disconnect and using the dock has been fine. granted I donāt use the dock and awful lot but still have no scratches.
3 times so far for me XD
Also @TheDiddilyHorror They do make dock covers that will protect the screen from being scratched if your worried about it
lol ye, I admit Iāve used it recently but only because I was ill and holding up the Switch and bending my head down was very painful with a headache and used it to keep my eyes level with the screen but other than that not at all. I usually use lay in bed with my laptop+switch and do it that way.
Probably not gonna buy one this year. Kinda want to upgrade to Zen2+X570 and sell my current CPU+mobo to my cousin (maybe throwing int the m.2). Poor guy was using only HDDs until Christmas Eve. My old 120GB 840 Evo is the first SSD he owns now.
So that will probably what Iām spending most of my money on this year. Granted, I get some back by selling the 1700+X470 board to my cousin, but still need to see if heās actually down for upgrading his system.
Exactly what im doing right now XD
