There was a time when we had much less regulation but like I said we did used to have a lot of issues with thefts mostly in scrap metal. people used to steal the copper from the train lines and such so now they have clamped wayyy down on it too hard like they always do here.
yeah it’s not like america where people generally dont do shit like strip public utilities of things lol
still sometimes happens where thieves will steal copper pipelines out of foreclosed houses and such but it’s not that common unless it’s in poor areas so… also theres not as many foreclosures as there was during the housing crash so
over here it isn’t as much of a problem anymore but is still a big market for that stuff down south where the population density is much higher.

I had to type up the red copies of w2’s that we have to send in to social security on one of these bad boys since the boss lady couldn’t figure out how the program worked and gave me all of 5 minutes to try and fix it…

yup… I had to mash the shit out of these keys. But the work had to get done and that’s the tool I was given so you deal with it. At least it was on a typewriter so I wasn’t completely pissed, I like using the thing regardless of how shit it actually is.
