Yes, I would love to go to Gamescom one year and the mobile market is particularly very large in Europe which iirc is why the MWC is always held in Europe.
yep. phones in america to 97% of people is just buy the latest apple or samsung and everything else is for poor people.
Which makes me very sad, there is a lot of really cheap but actually very good phones in the European market that donāt even make it over to the US likely because of this.
There are some great, cheap smartphones. For example: Axon 7. But people are afraid of change so they just stick with whatever they have (usually apple or samsung)

This is exactly what Iām doing with my LG G5. Not upgrading at all until it breaks because as it stands phone is pretty powerful and should last me a very long time.

My sister is kinda like this but we refuse to get your the latest phone and she hates us for it. calls it child abuse because all her friends at school have them which I find hilarious.
I wouldnāt call the tons of midrange phones āfor poor peopleā. Todayās midrange is still expensive af at ~$400. That was HIGH-END price a few years ago.
Cell providers arenāt doing the lesser known brands a favor by only advertising the usual brands (Samsung, Apple, LG, maybe Sony, some old HTC). Iām seeing Huawei being advertised by local cell providers, but thatās about it. No Motorola, no Xiaomi, no Pixel, no Nokia, etc.
But by buying the phones from them youāll know they work with their network. How many people do that on their own? Doing their own research?
Most of the cell companies around here only sell high end phones from apple/samsung and super-low end phones that struggle to even run stock android XD
