Now can (start) insulation soon. The rest will be done after my dad figures out what to do with the tubing for the heat and the like.
Oh great. The Nintendo is launching a new service for the Switch in 2018 with loads of cool features like multiplayer NES games games, discounts on the store. oh and theyâll be required to have it to play online but can get a âfree trialâ now. Really hoped Nintendo wasnât going down the same road as Sony/M$ but seems I was wrong
yep. this has been talked about for a while now. no one likes it but you cant fight change
Yeah I guess. its significantly cheaper than than Sony/Microsoftâs offerings so thereâs at least that. Still donât like it though.
also yay now if you do forum.0cd.xyz it directs here
redirects to forum.0cd.xyz but that should be a easy change to fix that
well yes.
but still finally fixed lol
also will be splitting the sites at some point but thatâs a whole different thing
please inform me on that
is basically just .net for gaming and related
.com for security and related
nothing will change here
(is also why the forum is .net not .com)
forum might go down for a few minutes as im gonna try and switch over the domain to forum.0cd.xyz
hmm. cant seem to get discourse to run on the new domain. might be how its setup
hmm strange. maybe it has something to do with SSL and HSTS? or because it might be redirecting to forum.0cd.xyz and not the ip address?
dont have HSTS setup yet. Might be how the domain is setup and possible letencrypt
yeah maybe. although if domain was setup correctly canât see how it would letsencrypt.
Sane and Reasonable Tech Predictions for 2018 by wolfleben:
RXI 6XX will be shown at Computex and Released later
Why RXI? Because it wonât be a refresh but instead a new chipset. Will it use GDDDR5x or 6 or HBM 2? No clue. Itâd be nice to have an RXI 690 happen but Iâm expecting an RXI 680 instead. How will it perform? No clue. Iâd never guess at that.
GTX 11XX will be announced in may or June.
Both AMD and Nvidia Release new chipsets roughly every 2 years. It has been this way for awhile.
There is a push for 4k gaming on PC but the cost is still prohibitive and until a card comes out that cost $300 can play games at 4k at 60 FPS it isnât going to happen yet.
Freesync 2 monitors will dominate. Theyâve already started coming out and it is clear they are selling pretty well, otherwise they wouldnât have more Freesync vs G-Sync. At least that is how I see it.
HDR Monitor standards. Actually this has already happened:
https://displayhdr.org/
Standards are a good thing to have. Having standards for HDR allows the consumer of the monitor to know just how good of an HDR monitor they are getting. My advice to anyone looking at getting a new monitor, wait three years right now if you can cause it is kinda of sorta crazy and about to be more so.
Are you ready for 8k monitors? You thought 4k monitors were expensive just wait. 8k monitors will likely come out for the professional and prosumer market. Windows scaling still sucks.
VR Games will keep being gimmicks.
Video Game Predictions for 2018:
CD Projekt may show something for Cyberpunk 2077 but 2019 is more likely.
Elite Dangerous will announce space legs which means my character will finally get to walk around but probably still be at the same station. [I havenât left it in 3 years.]
Ninja Theory will announce their next AAA indie project.
Extremely optimistic predication:
Because Hellblade: Senuaâs Sacrifice was successful, it will inspire other developers to abandon AAA publishers and make really good AAA indie projects.
Not Happening:
LOOT BOXES AND MICROTRANSACTIONS WILL DIE
Extreme Future Predication:
EA will shut down Bioware because Anthem will flop.
i expect the 680 to be around a 1080 and 690 to be a little better than a 1080ti
GTX 11XX wont happen until atleast Q2 of 2018. Nvidia has shown they plan on milking the pascal lineup with the release of the 1070ti.
IMO 4k is still 2 generations away from being low end affordable
Freesync just needs good vendor support. Its about $100 cheaper than the gsync version even though nvidia can support freesync no problem
HDR is nice but windows still sucks with it and does not make proper use of it.
8k is going to be a gimmik for a while. even top end gpuâs still stuggle driving 4k
VR is going to be a thing with porn adopting so fast and pushing it so hard
Yeah I feel that this needs to happen but is unlikely anytime soon. Right now I think the only card actually marketed at 4K gaming is the 1080 and maybe Vega 56/64 and up and those are some expensive and powerful cards. Imo there has been a bigger marketing push for 4K gaming on consoles even though it is somewhat limited to a PC gamers standards.
yep As @Dje4321 said Freesync just needs vendor support. the benefits of Freesync are massive and the average gamer right now cannot afford a GSync monitor making Freesync that much more appealing.
Yeah 8K isnât going to be a thing any time soon. as stated above we are still struggling in that respect with 4K for gaming and even 8K for content consumption will be a stretch right now as streaming that much over the internet will be difficult. Maybe in Japan but anywhere else nope.
To some extent this I feel that this is already starting to happen. I wouldnât be surprised if EA donât start either dumbing down or completely removing them from future games as they donât want another Battlefront 2 on their hands. I can only hope this will set a trend in the market.
It is sad but I can almost guarantee that this will happen. It happened with Bioware Edmonton right after Andromeda and many of the old school Bioware developers have already left the studio and leaked information from inside seems to suggest that it has already failed an important review by EA and its on the rocks right now.
i hope bioware just gets removed from EA or at the very least the old bioware gets together again?
was confused for a good three seconds
lol this keeps happening
480 ⌠also 580
i mean my 4k 24" was $270 (and $320 or so if new) but 24" is not what a lot of people want in 4k so
i think 11XX isnât about to happen until very late this year or early next year, like November at the earliest (with the exception of a titan or TI variant that is the Titan V but with GDDR5X/less HBM and with no deep learning stuff, which will probably be 6mos out)
If AMD comes out with something that I can actually buy to drive it, sure lol
the rest I have minimal knowledge/cares on though they are interesting. Will have to see what happens
edited a bunch because english
Yes. I feel that the latter is way more likely and to be honest I would prefer it. Giving the Bioware team a completely fresh start would be great for them to do something amazing without some of the EA stigma they have gotten recently.
