Actually similar thing happens to my brother. He ordered a coffee lake system, ram came on the 23rd, CPU came yesterday and motherboard possibly either today or by Friday. Safe to say he’s not too pleased about the wait.
Even a day makes a difference when you’re building a PC and one component doesn’t arrive with the rest.

yep. don’t think he’d mind the wait if it were a day but he’s been waiting since the 23rd and has never shutup about it. I mean technically if the CPU/Motherboard came then I could’ve lent him some of my DDR4. It would’ve shut him up at least
