The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

I have an S4 with cyanogenmod on it, so for me they’re not worth the investment to me as I don’t gain anything from them

Didn’t CM get discontinued?

Yes it was forked to LineageOS

With the same amount of supported phones?

The Xiaomi Mi A1 looks promising for under 200€.
But still…200€ being cheap intensifies

edit: what’s the point of USB Type-C when it’s still USB 2.0?

No, many of the older phones that had support for CM have been dropped, this is mostly because the maintainer for those devices either aren’t around anyone or maintain a different device now.

Type-C is just the connector, has the same benefits of being reversible and is more durable and can many insertions before it’ll ware down which is very confusing for people especially in the cable market as most type-c cables are either usb2 or 3 also.

Yeah, but I thought it would also kinda indicate that it’s supporting progress, not dusty speeds.

Might as well wait for the Nokia 6 (2018) and see how prices for that are. The build quality of my Lumia 925 was amaze-balls. Best feeling phone I ever had and the screen still doesn’t have even the slightest scratch. Too bad it had WP as OS -_-

you would think so yes but many phones on the market do this to make it look better than t he competition and that they are on the forefront of new technically but really they are using the same old usb2 controller for ever because it is easy todo. Type C as a connector is great though and a vast improvement over micro-b.

tbh, I’d think it’s some cheap turd from China if a company does this.
Same for me when they use the chassis of a flagship phone of another company.

edit: really tempted to get the Xiaomi Mi A1. Closer to the 2018 version of the Nokia 6, cheaper and more RAM/ROM. And it has soft-touch buttons, which is a big plus for me.

yep when it comes down to it though I’d rather have type-c on usb2 than micro-b any day and there isn’t specifically anything wrong with this implementation its just whether the person buying the phone is aware of these limitations and in most cases the answer is no because sadly 90% of people don’t even look at the spec sheet and see new and fancy words like type c.

Well shit. No wonder why Beamdog is such a good dev. The CEO of it is the former Bioware game director that did the original Neverwinter nights.

At least apple isnt the status symbol it used to be lol
They are trying to change that by jacking up the price but that doesnt do much really.
The literally stupid marketing has killed apple lately more than anything rofl

Not that they don’t sell but not as much.
